Stigler Public Schools

Spanish I

Semesters:  1 or 2
Grade level:
9 - 12
Prerequisite:
None
Description:

In each level of Spanish we cover all four areas of language which are listening, speaking, reading and writing.  Every chapter includes the study of vocabulary, verbs, conversations, and pronunciations.  In addition to the language itself, we study the target culture and observe some of their holidays.
There are many opportunities for extra credit and incentives to encourage participation.  We have frequent homework assignments which are an important part of the final grade.  Discussions of current events and regalia brought to class by the teacher and students add another dimension of reality to our class.
