Computer Science I

Keyboarding
Description:

  A course in basic keyboarding is considered to be a necessary prerequisite for this course.  The course will include a review of computer technology theory, orientation to Windows (operating system), Microsoft Word 2007 (word processing), Microsoft Excel 2002 (spreadsheet), Microsoft Access 2007 (database management), PowerPoint 2007 (presentation graphics), and the Internet.
  Most activities will include hands-on experience using these very popular programs.  This course is designed to meet the needs of the beginning computer users as well as persons who need to develop a fundamental understanding of microcomputers for their business or profession.

Computer Science  II

Semesters:  1 or 2
Grade level: 
10-12
Prerequisite: 
Computers Science I
Description:

 
This course covers advanced microcomputer applications using basic multimedia, graphic design, and desktop publishing hardware and software.  In addition, throughout the course you will do advanced work orders using Microsoft Word 2007, Microsoft Excel 2007, Microsoft Access 2007, and Microsoft PowerPoint 2007.  The Internet will be used frequently as a resource.

Computer Science III

Semesters:  1 or 2
Grade level: 
11-12
Prerequisite: 
Computers II
Description:

  This course is designed for the advanced computer science student.  Students should have completed Computer Science II to enroll in this class.  The student will do special projects applying advanced computer concepts and principles.  In addition, real-work assignments will be assigned.
